Self Love & Coming First

Happy Tuesday loves, let’s start off by saying how weird this LA weather is, hot and cold like my attitude. LOL

It’s a fresh new week which always gives us all a chance for a fresh start to get our mind right and set our goals to conquer. I like to set short term goals for the week to keep myself accountable for what I am trying to accomplish and slowly but surely I am getting there. I also have my long term goals that I like to set as well to look at the bigger picture and to remind myself that I got this!

Setting goals begin with self love because it all starts internally. The worst thing someone can do is throw themselves a pity party because no one likes a negative Nancy! You must remind yourself that in the most difficult of times you push even harder to rise. Self love can mean a lot of things to different people so I want to share some of my thoughts and what it means to me, I will list them down below and I hope they can make a difference to someone.

  1. Take care of your body (gym and food) I know that not everyone is perfect and we all have our moments of caving in and going for that dessert or something you’ve been craving but consistency is key so I try my best to make the gym and what I eat a priority so yes, that means cutting out junk food 90% of the time. *You got this!
  2. Getting a good night sleep, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stayed up late doing nothing but fighting my sleep by being on my phone or watching TV and then I’m hating life the next day because I’m acting like a monster! LOL…I like to give myself a time where I am just forced to go to sleep because in the long run it does really help to make you feel better and refreshed so you should definitely try this out!
  3. Make time for your hobbies, for me this includes working out, spending quality time with friends and family. I love the outdoors so I love to go on hikes, trying new places to eat and just be out enjoying life! Make time for the things that make you happy and you will see a huge change in your life, I promise! (:
  4. Let go of negative energies that no longer serve a purpose in your life whether it’s people, situations, your job, etc. you have to recognize how it makes you feel internally and if you’re feeling negative then it’s time to let go and move on. Being positive is far more important than putting your energy into things that will only bring you down.

Now moving onto my outfit details, I am loving this new top via SHEIN, I normally don’t wear graphic tees but I love how this outfit turned out sporty, chic and casual. Here’s another item that has a great steal for only $9 and how cute is this top?! The girly print, the heart and material of this top, I love it all! It comes in a thick and stretchy material that you can wear multiple ways like I did here tucked into my denim skirt via Go Jane or with shorts, overalls, jeans, etc. This top is also available in black and white.
