It’s the week of Valentine’s Day, and the big question is…what will you be doing on that special day?
There are tons of ideas out there on where to go eat, gifting guides etc. but I will be sharing some past experiences as well as what you should NOT do only because I want to keep things realistic and easier for all of my couples out there!
You all know how extra AF I am so in the past this included Valentine’s Day as well. I would put tons of pressure on Bryant year after year on what we would be doing because I wanted to get nice and dolled up but it was never realistic guys!!! Bryant and I would try going on fancy dinners and EVERY single place was always packed and most restaurants don’t even take reservations! I always remember one year specifically where we went to a Peruvian restaurant (which is my FAVORITE food everrrr) I was starving and ready to order my favorite dish but as we got there the wait was over an hour long so we ended up having dinner around 10-10:30 pm!! Like WTF! That’s just so insane to me and I remember being so grumpy, my stomach was growling, thank god Bryant is the opposite of me because he knows how to just laugh things off and go with the flow!
After that year I learned my lesson, I told Bryant he was right and that we should do more low-key things instead of trying to go the fancy route. The following year, I remember we had a sushi date to our favorite restaurant which is a hole in the wall but the longest we had to wait was about 20-30 mins which is a normal wait time like any other day and a better alternative to any fancy restaurant that will be a hassle to get into.
Since then, we have been getting better with our options and I no longer put all of the pressure on Bryant to plan something extravagant, I can just be extra myself any other day! LOL
This year: I am keeping things super low-key with Bryant, baby girl is on the way and being that I am currently 27 weeks, I get tired easily so we are doing something during the day instead (so happy we both got the day off) probably start off with the gym, grab lunch and be out and about for a little, order take out for dinner and watch a movie which is perfect for me! Oh and the best part is that we are getting pedicures together so I’m excited for that!

don’t go to big restaurants or wait for dinner (it’s the busiest time)
don’t fall for the hype on this day just because you see others doing something (no fomo)

I am over the moon with the amount of love I have been receiving from everyone throughout my pregnancy and it feels so good to finally know what I’m having.
I’ll be honest, when I first found out I was pregnant I thought I was having a boy because that’s all I could picture in my head. As weeks went by I started having a ton of dreams with having a little girl and from there I had a gut feeling it would be, and I was right!!
I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and as you all know, I announced my pregnancy on social media on the first of 2019 so I wanted to wait a little before I started planning all of the fun stuff.
When it comes to style, I envisioned my gender reveal to be very intimate, minimal and chic. I was looking on pinterest for months to get inspired and I decided to go with a garden theme to incorporate plants and flowers, and to start getting in the mood for spring.
I got tons of help from close friends and family to help bring my vision to life and I love that mostly everything consisted of DIY projects that were so easy to put together.
So let’s start off with the decorations, I was lucky enough that my boyfriend’s family had the perfect wooden design to create the flower wall I wanted. As you can see in the picture below, it was easy to buy flowers and just pin them all over and voila! The flowers that you see on the sides going straight down are from the Dollar Tree!!! Yassssss, they were each just $1! The white flowers you see hanging on the next row going in towards the middle are from Hobby Lobby and those were $2 each. The crown in the middle was another DIY that my boyfriend’s family had which was spray painted with gold and the plants and smaller flowers were added onto the crown for the final touch. So beautiful and creative, all ideas from Pinterest. The two bigger flowers next to the crown were handmade by my cousin and look even better in person! I bought the plants to put on top from Michael’s which were on sale for about $3 each and the final touch to my flower wall was the baby sign I found at Target for $5!! I was so happy with the outcome because I’ve always been one to preach about what’s affordable so this was right up my alley!
I wanted everything at my gender reveal to be simple including the food so I decided to go with sandwich platters from Costco along with fruit platters aka all finger foods which turned out to be so convenient.
All of the desserts were soooo yummy! My best friend got me donuts, I had another friend bake me cupcakes which were AMAZING and I also got pastries from Porto’s bakery, if you’re in the LA area then you know how good everything is there!
My boyfriend ended up making this board all by himself from scratch which I thought was super cool and it was something he really wanted to do as I was getting everything else ready. As you can see there are 16 balloons so we had to pop each one until it was either pink or blue. He was going for boy and of course I was team girl but it was so fun to experience with our friends and family watching!

The center pieces were so beautiful and delicate, everything truly turned out the way I wanted it to and I can’t wait for my baby shower to come and continue sharing this whole process with all of you!
Baby girl is moving like crazy and my bump is growing more each week, it’s such a beautiful experience and I truly feel love and blessed!

Hi babes, are you a influencer/ blogger or maybe looking to get started? Well I’m here to share five things they forgot to mention…
I’m going to share some tips and a quick story on how I started back in 2014 and OMG I can’t believe it’s been that long!
The number one question I always get asked, even to this day is how did I start blogging?
I simply started taking pictures of my outfits but it was so different back then, I had my first blog on blogspot and I remember uploading 10-15 pictures of the same outfit and describing my thought process on how I paired everything together which is INSANE you guys! I look back and see how much things have changed. My blog has shifted to a lifestyle brand and fashion will always be a part of me so I still post my outfits daily on Instagram.
I would say one of the most important things when being a influencer/ blogger is taking the time and effort to create content. I have noticed a huge difference in my content and the quality of it. I’ve always bounced back and forth with using my phone and camera for pictures but for the past year and a half, my pictures have all been taken from my iPhone 7 Plus. You don’t need a fancy camera, you need good angles and good lighting, this has become my preference and it’s so much more convenient and feels more authentic to me.
2. Having tough skin
It’s important to be vulnerable and show emotion but at the same time I believe that being a influencer/ blogger, you must have tough skin because you’re exposing your life for everyone to see and not just that but your creative side. Before I decided to take the plunge into the blogger world, I was definitely a little nervous of how I was going to be perceived especially because there were already so many other bloggers out there. In that moment I remember saying, “I’m doing this for myself and because it’s something I love!” As the years have passed, I have grown in so many ways but I still remain with the same idea of doing this for myself because it truly is a passion of mine. The world can be a scary place but you can’t let that hold you back, so I challenge you to get out there and be fearless!
3. Create your own path
This is another huge tip in my book that I feel a lot of people forget to mention, I’m such a firm believer of doing what fits YOUR style and growing that into your brand and what defines you. When I started blogging I had around 1k followers and I remember comparing my Instagram to other girls who had way more followers and I found myself quickly realizing it just didn’t work for me. At the time, a lot of bloggers were posting flat lays of their outfits so I thought it was what I had to do in order to gain a following which then turned into stress/pressure to keep up with the same concept and forcing content that wasn’t me at all. I began cleaning out my Instagram and went back to focusing on my outfits. I’ve stayed true to my style since then which I would consider to be affordable yet stylish for the girl next door, it’s relatable which is 100% me! So what might work for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you, follow your gut and your passion despite what anyone else is saying or doing, you got this!
4. Be consistent
You have to be consistent no matter what if you want to be a influencer/ blogger. People want to see their brand grow but slack off so you have to ask yourself if this is something you really want to dive into? When I started blogging back in 2014 I would post about three times a week and recently started posting once a week because I want quality content as I mentioned earlier, my blog has shifted into more of a lifestyle brand which includes fashion, fitness, places where you can eat and go out to. So although things have shifted and expanded into other areas, the consistency has always been there. Instagram is where I post daily and I love interacting through my stories so that people can feel like they can relate because I am just a regular girl. As your audience grows, they want to see your journey and follow along so being consistent is important. I’ve unfollowed tons of people who are not consistent on social media because it makes me feel like they don’t take it as serious. Remember that people follow you because they look forward to pictures, tips, etc.
5. Your time will come
I want to leave you all with this last point to leave things on a good note, to inspire you because there is no need to rush or compare your journey with someone else’s success. As cliché as it sounds, it truly helps when you keep doing you and most importantly having fun with it!! Being a blogger/influencer is meant to share YOUR passion, not to please others or imitate others. This shouldn’t feel as pressure to anyone because it defeats the entire purpose of it all. I quickly learned to go at my own pace and even though I don’t have a huge following like other influencers do, I still keep going because I’m doing it for the right reasons. I love connecting with others and being a open book because we’re all unique in our own special way.

Heyyyy babes, omg I’ve gotten so many questions on what my workout routine is especially now that I’m pregnant because I find myself still living at the gym! What can I say, I love a good workout session!!
I can’t believe how time is just flying by because I am halfway through my pregnancy! Like what???!
But let’s get down to business…before my pregnancy I was hitting the gym and lifting heavy weights about 4-5 times a week, once I found out I was pregnant (around 6 weeks) I had to adjust my workouts completely to focus on the baby and I had to take it easy which meant no more pre workout to give me that extra boost of energy and also meant not being able to lift even half of the weight I was doing before. I’m going to be completely honest, it was a little difficult for me at first on all kinds of levels because I’ve always been used to pushing myself and increasing my weights to build muscle so I had to learn very quick how to mentally prepare myself that everything was going to take a turn and be more about staying active to maintain and have a healthy pregnancy.
My first trimester was easy because I didn’t have any nausea but I found myself uninspired to hit the gym because I noticed my body changing drastically so even though I didn’t share these moments on social media, I tried pushing myself to make it to the gym at least three times a week. What I found that worked for me was following fitness accounts on Instagram like https://www.instagram.com/fit.with.iulia/
just to name a few, they are all so badass who are also moms! Now more than ever it gives me that extra motivation to keep going. I have daily affirmations where I tell myself that being a mom is a beautiful journey and I will be back to my own fitness journey after having the baby. I am learning to embrace these changes and now that I’m not in that awkward stage of just looking bloated, I am fully proud to show my baby bump.
So here we are now, six months in and I’m doing the best I can to stay active especially because I heard it’s easier when it comes to the delivery and to bounce back as well so I’m all for it!!
Once I got into my second trimester I got tons of energy back, I wasn’t sleeping as much anymore so I bumped things up by going to the gym 4-5 times a week and I feel great now. I still have plenty of moments where I want to say no because it’s too cold, I’d rather stay in bed etc. The list can go on and on but at the end of the day they’re just excuses so I’ve made it a point to write what I’m going to workout each day in my planner and I just make it happen!
Current workout routine: (I will write an example of what my schedule looks like to make it easier)
Monday: (leg day)
Stair master 5-10 minutes then stretch / 8-9 exercises (I can’t use certain machines so I have to be very creative but I do a variety of exercises to target my hamstrings, quads and the good ol booty)
Treadmill 15 minutes followed by shoulders (I like to use both, machines and use weights)
Wednesday: Cardio+Chest day
Treadmill 15 minutes followed by chest ( machines and weights)
Treadmill 15 minutes followed by arm workout (machines and weights)
Friday: Leg Day (same as above)
Saturday & Sunday: If i missed a day during the week then I come during the weekend and of course I make sure to have a rest day as well.
YouTube is a great way to learn different exercises and so much easier to follow along to get the right form and perfect to get a variety of exercises to make sure you’re switching it up!

I hope everyone started 2019 off on a good note, I wanted to start off big so as you all know by now I announced my pregnancy on the 1st of January! I want to say THANK YOU because the amount of love I have been receiving is unreal!!! I am so grateful because I have made awesome connections that truly fill my heart with happiness which brings up my next topic…GIRL POWER!
I am all about having girl power and I wanted to take a moment and dive into this topic because now more than ever we spend most of our time on social media. We make friends or we feel like we know someone else because they are so relatable which is one of my favorite things about the social media world. I have met so many awesome and powerful women throughout the years and have had amazing opportunities because Instagram is a huge platform.
To me girl power is showing genuine love to someone else even through something as simple as commenting on their picture. When I use the word “genuine” I am referring to keeping it 100! If I see a picture that caught my eye, I give it a like and comment as well. If someone took the time to write a caption then I read it and comment something based on that. Why? Because it’s about creating a connection! I can spot a fake or half-ass comment from a mile away so showing some girl power comes with being genuine.
On the other hand, a lot of bloggers/influencers I follow keep their captions pretty simple, in those cases I like to hype up my girls. If they look bomb AF I let that be known, or comment something based on their outfit, the point is to show love. You can’t expect to be a influencer and only receive love because it goes both ways! If people take the time to stop by your page to show love and hype you up then make it a point to get back to everyone even if it’s a simple thank you but let them know that you acknowledged their comment.
Before 2018 ended I decided to step out of my comfort zone as I made it one of my goals for 2019 so I said why not start early so I planned a brunch and invited other influencers! I took the time to really notice what girls I was interacting with on Instagram and who was taking the time to show some real girl power and reached out to them via DM. To my surprise, almost all of the girls I reached out to were able to make it except for one or two. I put us all into a group chat, we decided on a place and time to meet and it was AMAZING! All of the girls had a good vibe and I could just feel the good energy all around us as we complimented each other, we were able to relate on so many levels and just have a good time! It’s crazy how all of that is possible with the power of social media. To this day, we all constantly show love to each other on Instagram, I’ve seen some of the girls that continue meeting up and as have I which makes me so happy!!!

I’ve been to plenty of blogger events where I start seeing the same group of girls and you would think that being a influencer would make you friendly but instead they are stuck up which is the total opposite of what they portray on social media. There is room for everyone out there and we’re all unique in our own special way so instead of competing let’s show some love and be all about girl power!

Guys!!!! What better way to start off 2019 than with some BIG news right?! I’M PREGNANT!!!
I can’t believe the time has come to announce the amazing news but I’m more than excited as I am already halfway through my pregnancy. I wanted to spend the first half of my pregnancy a secret with family and friends as I enjoyed all of the new changes that were happening in my life. I have tried to remain as active as possible with the gym and my daily routine, overall I must say it’s been super easy because I experienced zero nausea which helped tremendously! In my first trimester, all I felt was being fatigued and I wanted to take a million naps and of course the hormones that were going up and down. (My poor babe is a real one for dealing with me and my extra af attitude! LOL)
So now that the news is out, I can finally start sharing my experience and bring you all along for the ride! It’s a new year and I’m more than excited for everything that’s coming and I’m learning a ton as well. I’ve made it to the mom club so does that make me a MILF?! haha (duh)
I am so amazed with how much the body changes and in the past when I would hear other moms express themselves that way, I would just think duh of course it does but until you experience it for yourself OMG, it really does blow your mind away! I am most excited to share my experience physically with my fitness journey and for that snapback honey cause you all know I live in the gym but now it feels much more special to be healthy and to be a good example.
There will still be tons of fashion as it has always been a passion of mine to share but now I am excited for all of the new doors that will open. I wanted to keep this post light as I am just announcing it to all of you but I hope you can all follow me on this journey and continue to show your love and support because it means more than you know!

So excited to share my goals for the new year because I finally finished my vision board last night with my best friend which feels amazing to recharge and look ahead at everything I’m going to get done! (Manifest and it will happen because no one has time for doubts!)
Healthier food choices
I’m not talking about going on a strict diet so let’s get that straight!! LOL… I loveeee food you guys so this goal means I will still indulge every now and then with my favorite foods BUT instead of saying yes to everything (sweets, carbs, junk food) or buying out because I’m lazy to cook is definitely going to change by meal prepping and staying consistent.
2. Gym 5-6 times a week
I know this sounds insane but trust me when I tell you it’s definitely possible and I know that because I’ve done it before. I’ve always had an active lifestyle and I have a deep love for sports and being competitive because I love challenging myself. I slowly went from going to the gym 5-6 times a week to 3-4 which is still good but it’s not my full potential. I’m going to get back on top of things and I bought a calendar specifically to write down my workouts for each day and to help keep me on check. I enjoy lifting and seeing results, feeling strong makes me feel like a total badass so I’m excited to start over.
3. Travel more (here in the U.S)
My first trip of 2019 will be San Fransisco which I’m excited because I’ve never been (I can’t believe it either) I can’t wait to explore and get some fun and creative shots to look back on AND for the gram! Haha… The reason why I want to start off exploring the United States first is because there are so many states I want to visit and dream about, of course I wouldn’t be opposed to a trip outside of the U.S if the opportunity arises but some places I have in mind are New York, Chicago, New Orleans, South Carolina among other states but just so you get an idea!
4. Create meaningful content
This is extremely important to me because I want to connect with you guys on a different level. I might be a “blogger/influencer” but I’m totally relatable and I want you all to feel that way. This goal means putting out genuine and REAL content, good quality and being the best version of myself. This goes for all of my platforms like Instagram, YouTube and my blog. 5. Explore new spots to eat
I have actually already started exploring recently and I kind of always have but for the new year I want to explore even more. I love saving locations on Instagram like coffee shops, resta even cute places to go for dessert. I usually stay in my comfort zone when it comes to food because I always end up picking the SAME spots to go eat but enough of that because it’s staying behind with 2018. I love locations that have a good aesthetic/decor because it makes me feel inspired to shoot creative and fresh content while eating which is a win/win situation. LOL
6. Spend less time on phone
This is a huge goal for me because I ALWAYS catch myself checking/responding to emails throughout the day or scrolling through instagram for no reason which isn’t productive at all. I am going to set a time each day for emails to get them out of the way and I’m going to cut my time in half on social media. I love engaging with others which is obviously not going to change but instead put my time to better use to get shit done instead of sitting back and scrolling through pictures.
7. Spend quality time with family
This coincides with spending less time on my phone, I want to be present in the moment and spend quality time with my family. It’s so easy to get caught up in a daily routine or make time for friends and be selfish with your time but I am making a conscious effort to turn that around. I have spent less time being out with others and more time making plans with family and it’s heartwarming. For the new year I plan on doing more of that and include my family with anything I have going on or simply just stay in to spend time with them.
8. A positive mindset
This is definitely a challenge at times because it’s so easy to create doubt and worry about a million little things that really have no importance at all. I am slowly learning to be more positive and I’ve learned that worrying isn’t going to change the future so being positive and hopeful is the only way to go. I’m always one to keep it real with anyone and especially with myself which I plan on doing not only for 2019 but forever. I have learned that good vibes are the most important to surround yourself with to have a positive mindset and that’s why I preach about cutting anything negative out of your life whether it’s people, habits or your lifestyle in order to turn things around for the better.
9. Stop procrastinating
OMG!!!! I’m one of the biggest procrastinators everrrrr and although I do work well under pressure, I hate putting things off especially when it comes to errands. For the new year I plan on creating to do lists for the week to make myself accountable to get things done and to STOP being lazy!
10. New job
This is one of the biggest goals and challenges I will have in 2019 and I am more than ready for it. I plan on getting a new job for the new year because I believe one should be happy when they go to work and if you don’t feel that way then you need to get yourself out!!! I finished school in May 2017 and I was lucky to have found a job soon after that had certain characteristics I was looking for like a flexible schedule and being close to home but I also found myself becoming lazy and not challenging myself and as many would stay because it’s “easy” that isn’t enough for me. I’m going to do my research and push myself to get out there and keep moving on up!
Ahhhhh so here are my top 10 goals for 2019 and I will definitely be sharing my progress with you all because I already have a lot of changes happening so watch out because your girl is here to kill it!!! A lot of people ask how I’m always smiling or look so happy and my answer to that is, “I don’t have time for BS!”
5 tips to live a better life:
No time forBS: This is huge when living a better life because it truly helps to take away the stress and anxiety you don’t need in your life! Everyone has a lot going on in their own life which is totally understandable BUT as soon as I feel bad vibes coming my way I just don’t have the time for it. Believe me when I say, as soon as you stop putting up with “BS” a weight is just lifted off your shoulders.
Be okay with letting go: This goes for friendships, relationships or even if you have family members that are bringing negative vibes into your life, it’s time to let go. Letting go means you’re putting yourself first and most of all you’re growing. You want to surround yourself with people who inspire you, challenge you and let you be the best version of yourself.
Make time for yourself: This is very important because everyone needs a moment of peace so make the time to do the things you love. Ex: Hiking, working out, reading, watching a movie, etc. Allow yourself to be in your thoughts, reflect on your goals and what you want to do next.
It’s okay to say no: I live by this and have no shame in saying no to someone. I have never been one to fall under pressure so if something isn’t for me I just say no. This can help with different aspects in your life for example saying no to going out with friends because you want to save money or you simply don’t feel like going out, don’t feel obligated to say yes just to please others. Saying no will help you out in the long run!
What others think of you isn’t your business: I love this because as I’ve gotten older I have learned not to let other peoples opinion get to me. I literally shrug it off and trust me I know it’s very difficult to do because as humans we are naturally curious, we want to know what someone else has to say when in reality it’s not a reflection of us but of themselves so at the end of the day it doesn’t even matter. When I was younger, I wanted to be liked by others and I wanted to fit in and looking back now I see how ridiculous that is because now I’ve learned to be true to myself and if someone isn’t my friend or simply doesn’t like me it’s OK!

I definitely am and this past weekend I went to@smorgasburgla for those who don’t know, it’s in downtown LA and filled with tons of food trucks and vendors to shop from every Sunday! It has free entrance and so many things to choose from and for those who are 21+ they also have a beer garden so it’s the perfect Sunday fun-day!
I decided to go with Peruvian tacos which were beyond AMAZING along with horchata which was super yummy as well and I’m glad I got to check it out before summer comes to an end.
I am starting to transition into my fall wardrobe so the perfect way to begin is with your color palette which I will be talking more of in a new video I will be uploading to my YouTube channel. So I started off with my new top via SheIn the color is perfect for that transition from summer to fall. Of course, it’s still hot in LA so it’s all about keeping your layers light. I love this top because it’s versatile so it can be dressed up or down, I have been loving casual looks lately but still adding my twist with accessories and I’m ready to go!
I wore this top off the shoulder with a bralette underneath because the heat was real on Sunday! I wore my all time favorite hat to make my outfit look more “fall” with a denim skirt and favorite studded sandals to bring the look together.
Remember the key to transition is your color palette, start layering and pack on the accessories. As it begins to feel more like fall, you will be ready to go! The perfect secret to shop smart is buying items a season ahead because they are crazy cheap and you can really find hidden gems. My fall wardrobe is ready to go so stay tuned for more.
