A lot of people ask how I’m always smiling or look so happy and my answer to that is, “I don’t have time for BS!”

5 tips to live a better life:

  1. No time for BS: This is huge when living a better life because it truly helps to take away the stress and anxiety you don’t need in your life! Everyone has a lot going on in their own life which is totally understandable BUT as soon as I feel bad vibes coming my way I just don’t have the time for it. Believe me when I say, as soon as you stop putting up with “BS” a weight is just lifted off your shoulders.
  2. Be okay with letting go: This goes for friendships, relationships or even if you have family members that are bringing negative vibes into your life, it’s time to let go. Letting go means you’re putting yourself first and most of all you’re growing. You want to surround yourself with people who inspire you, challenge you and let you be the best version of yourself.
  3. Make time for yourself: This is very important because everyone needs a moment of peace so make the time to do the things you love. Ex: Hiking, working out, reading, watching a movie, etc. Allow yourself to be in your thoughts, reflect on your goals and what you want to do next.
  4. It’s okay to say no: I live by this and have no shame in saying no to someone. I have never been one to fall under pressure so if something isn’t for me I just say no. This can help with different aspects in your life for example saying no to going out with friends because you want to save money or you simply don’t feel like going out, don’t feel obligated to say yes just to please others. Saying no will help you out in the long run!
  5. What others think of you isn’t your business: I love this because as I’ve gotten older I have learned not to let other peoples opinion get to me. I literally shrug it off and trust me I know it’s very difficult to do because as humans we are naturally curious, we want to know what someone else has to say when in reality it’s not a reflection of us but of themselves so at the end of the day it doesn’t even matter. When I was younger, I wanted to be liked by others and I wanted to fit in and looking back now I see how ridiculous that is because now I’ve learned to be true to myself and if someone isn’t my friend or simply doesn’t like me it’s OK!

I hope this can help some of you who are struggling to move forward, I promise that these 5 tips definitely make a difference, it takes practice and then it will come naturally. Who’s a food lover?!

I definitely am and this past weekend I went to @smorgasburgla for those who don’t know, it’s in downtown LA and filled with tons of food trucks and vendors to shop from every Sunday! It has free entrance and so many things to choose from and for those who are 21+ they also have a beer garden so it’s the perfect Sunday fun-day!

I decided to go with Peruvian tacos which were beyond AMAZING along with horchata which was super yummy as well and I’m glad I got to check it out before summer comes to an end.

I am starting to transition into my fall wardrobe so the perfect way to begin is with your color palette which I will be talking more of in a new video I will be uploading to my YouTube channel. So I started off with my new top via SheIn the color is perfect for that transition from summer to fall. Of course, it’s still hot in LA so it’s all about keeping your layers light. I love this top because it’s versatile so it can be dressed up or down, I have been loving casual looks lately but still adding my twist with accessories and I’m ready to go!

I wore this top off the shoulder with a bralette underneath because the heat was real on Sunday! I wore my all time favorite hat to make my outfit look more “fall” with a denim skirt and favorite studded sandals to bring the look together.

Remember the key to transition is your color palette, start layering and pack on the accessories. As it begins to feel more like fall, you will be ready to go! The perfect secret to shop smart is buying items a season ahead because they are crazy cheap and you can really find hidden gems. My fall wardrobe is ready to go so stay tuned for more.

Now more than ever we are surrounded by social media, an image that everyone portrays of what we should look like or the way we should be living but at the end of the day it’s all about being comfortable in your own skin!

Being comfortable in your own skin means embracing your flaws and knowing that no one is you and that’s your power! Instead of comparing yourself to others, appreciate the things you have in life because you are unique and have something different to offer this world!

The same goes with anything you wear, always be true to yourself and comfortable in your skin. Don’t fall into the hype of trends and name brand items  especially when you don’t have the money to spend like that. If you feel comfortable wearing a white t-shirt and denim jeans then rock that outfit girl! I am a firm believer and huge advocate when it comes to spending smart and I’m definitely not afraid to speak on it because I’d rather spend money on food than ONE expensive item! LOL

I’m going to keep it 100% real right now…it has been a process to come into my own body and embrace every little detail about it. I must say, being 28 has allowed me more than ever to be confident and rock my own style, I like to have fun, be creative and carefree because #yolo LOL

Remember that things aren’t all that serious so just live life and most of all, enjoy it!

Am I right?! I struggle with this as well, some days I’m on top of everything aka getting shit done and other days I feel lazy and put things off for later or even the next day. It takes a lot of practice and it is definitely possible, it’s all about baby steps and not letting excuses take control of your daily activities.

A good way for me to “stop complaining, start doing” is by writing down a list of things to do for the week. I do this every Monday morning and check things off as I do them, I make sure to accomplish a little everyday.

For example, yesterday was one of those days where I just didn’t want to do anything and I won’t lie I put off the gym in the morning but I still went at night and instead got other things done around the house during the day. Don’t get me wrong, I do understand that our body needs to rest and although that is very difficult for me to do because I’m always on the go, I do sit back and relax a little even if it’s an hour out of the day.

Do what you love, what gives you passion and gets you going!!! If you want to start that blog, DO IT! If you want to start that YouTube channel, DO IT! When I started blogging and filming videos for YouTube a couple of years ago I just threw myself into it and everything else started coming along. I’m still learning and evolving which is a part of life but being stuck and scared is not an option for me and t shouldn’t be for anyone else.

So anything you want to do in life, JUST DO IT! Your happiness comes first so take care of yourself, your thoughts and the energy that surrounds you!

  • be positive (train your thoughts to see the best in every situation)
  • everything happens for a reason (accept change and move forward)
  • acknowledge your past (look back only to see how far you’ve come)
  • confidence (remind yourself daily how awesome you are)
  • let go (let go of anything that no longer serves you in a positive way)

2018 is flying by but you don’t need the “new year, new me” mentality because things change everyday. I started off my summer with a new hair color, I decided to go lighter because I wanted change myself and I love it! That’s the beauty of life, once something changes you appreciate things so much more and somehow everything falls into place and makes perfect sense. Never allow anyone or anything to hold you back, be selfish with the things you want in life because your dreams won’t come true unless you make them happen.

I definitely like to ball on a budget and be smart with things I purchase. Versatile pieces are a must because they can transform any look which is exactly what you need to mix and match. As much as I love fun prints, I try to stay away from them because it limits how many times I can actually change up the look so basic pieces are your best friend. Being that it’s summer time, I LOVE buying basic crop tops, cami’s along with basic t-shirts because they go with denim shorts, skirts, EVERYTHING!

In today’s #ootd I am wearing this casual monochromatic look, I bought these denim shorts that I’ve worn sooooo many times whether it’s with sneakers, sandals and here I decided to pair it with my new pearl crop top and small heeled block sandals to make it chic and casual. How to Start Blogging

My biggest advice for anyone who wants to do the same thing is to just do it!!! Let’s start off with what made me want to start 4+ years ago and the answer to that is that I’ve always loved fashion ever since I could remember at the age of 4 and being in pre-school! LOL

I would always take tons of clothes out and put outfits together of what I wanted to wear to school the next day and model it for my mom. (I still do that to this day, lol) But I’ve always had an eye for styling looks and loving everything I wear.    So one day as I was scrolling through Instagram (way back in the day lol) I saw other bloggers sharing their outfits and I told myself I can see myself doing that too! I began taking photos of my outfits and posting them on Instagram, don’t get me wrong I was nervous about what others would think or say because I had never done anything like that on social media. I told myself to stay consistent with sharing my looks, I began tagging the brands I was wearing and using hashtags like crazy but it worked for me. I was engaging with others who shared similar posts and I noticed my followers were growing slowly but surely. The algorithm changes ALL the time but back then I felt like it was easier to gain followers based on engagement and reposts from brands.

Consistency truly is key if you want blogging to become something. So back to blogging and what it takes to get started and working your way up. I am no where near where I want to be but I definitely see myself evolving and taking those baby steps of where I’m meant to be and it’s such a good feeling. I blog because I love it, I enjoy it and because it makes me happy.

I believe it’s so important to be yourself and authentic to what your style is when you are a blogger/ influencer or even in general as a person. Instagram has become full of aesthetics that are all starting to look very similar and as for myself I know that I want to stand apart from that because I am here to share my  OWN style, to connect with people and most of all I am here to be relatable.

If you have thought about blogging/ being a influencer just go for it because as soon as you start, you begin to know yourself! Brands definitely notice your style, so don’t focus on the numbers because that’s something that will eventually grow especially when you’re authentic and relatable. As you start building your brand and style that represents you, definitely reach out to brands because it never hurts to try!

Fitness Q&A+ Favorites

Happy Monday babes, OMG the heat was real this past weekend!

I want to answer a couple questions based on my fitness routine because I have gotten a couple of DM’s through Instagram so I will share as much as I can plus share some of my current favorite athletic wear. Continue reading down below for more.

So let’s start off with my fitness routine, I like to workout 4-5 times a week. I do cardio 20-30 mins before I start lifting and usually consists of the stair master, elliptical and bike whenever I like to change it up.

As for lifting, I like to spread out my workouts. I do lower body twice a week so it’s extremely important to switch it up if you want gain muscle you MUST lift heavy. It’s all a process so keep in mind that everyone starts off somewhere but being consistent will really pay off and show you the results you want as long as you put in the effort all around.

I workout biceps and triceps one day, shoulders another day and back and chest together. YouTube is a great way to learn and follow exercises if you are beginning your fitness journey. I still follow videos when I want to learn new techniques and there’s so many ideas to follow that are super easy as well.

I like to incorporate abs at least 3 times a week which usually fall on the days I workout upper body so I spend about an hour and a half at the gym. Stretching is also a MUST to get your body ready before you workout. I like to use the foam roller for my leg days before and after my workout.

Food:

I LOVE FOOD!!! So I am constantly eating and snacking every 2-3 hours. I usually start my morning with coffee, spinach omelette, bacon and a hash brown with a side of avocado toast. I have chicken/meat with rice for lunch around 11-12 and have another meal around 2-3 but try to substitute the rice for veggies and then have dinner around 7-8. As for my snacks in between, I like to eat fruit or do a protein shake. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely eat what I want but all in moderation. I have my moments of weakness which are pizza and donuts because carbs are life lol BUT I can definitely say I cut out fast food such as Mc Donald’s, Burger King, Jack in the Box, etc. My top 3 places to eat out for my cheat meals are in n out, panda express and chipotle. LOL

I would say for the most part I do a good job, I don’t count calories, I’ve just learned what I have to cut back on and of course to drink plenty of water. I drink water with all of my meals.

As for the protein I take, I normally take whey protein but don’t have a specific brand. I am currently experimenting to see what goes well with my body. I love mixing my protein powder with banana, peanut butter and almond milk. I take c4 for my pre workout which I buy at Target for $20 but I only take it twice a week when I workout lower body.

Be A Boss Babe

Happy Thursday babes, today feels like a Monday due to fourth of July and OMG I feel completely lost! LOL

I’m so happy it’s summer and I’m all about the good vibes so let’s have a little inspirational talk…

It is so important to build a network of friends and things that inspire you to do better and be the best version of yourself. It’s so easy to get caught up with daily life and all of its nonsense but it’s crucial that we stay focused and see the light at the end of the tunnel.

5 tips to follow:

  • Let go of anything that no longer serves you whether it’s a friend, a job, a relationship etc.
  • You come first!!!
  • Always choose to be positive.
  • Fall in love with your hobbies, for me it’s the gym so I make it a priority to go. It’s the time where I get to reflect and be a bad ass while lifting.
  • Whatever you do in life, give it your all or don’t bother wasting your time!

Everything in life is a learning experience, we should all be growing and striving for more. Be passionate about what you want in life and just go for it! So on that note, cheers to summer and to becoming a better person each day!
